Happy Birthday??? by Olulu

Happy Birthday???

Time heals???
Maybe,
but the pain never leaves.
A phone number that can no longer be answered by the voice that owns it.
A picture is all the physical evidence left,
thus memories are all we can cherish right now.
I have asked "Why" for so long,
but getting an answer is not guaranteed.
So all I can say is,
Sleep on my beautiful sister, continue to rest in the Lord.
Hope they are throwing a party for you today,
do enjoy yourself as the Angels sing aloud.
Happy Birthday dear.

#WarOfWords2 Be the change u seek by Rage.

Be the change u seek by Rage.
Enough is Enough..
If it is true love.. then u say it to my face.Cos all I need is one love.. Tuface .
Just the other day I saw on CNN, I hide face..
CHIDI was d violence..
so Lloyd used d mace..
u say one word.
I say change..
I am not afraid..
Don't u know.. I am "rage"..
I may be deranged ; but I still wage.. wage wars..
war of words.
I am not the spoken word.
I only speak change through words... Time we sheathe our swords , guns,  bombs and be born, reborn, buildings true bonds of freedom.
We all are freeborn.
U maybe young, lazy..
But u cannot be forever young ..Jay z
still chasing wrong..since history..
Posterity will never seize to judge us.. until we stop and change course:
"off course"..
I have a dream..
I dream to live..
I dream to live my dream.
to be king: "Martin Luther"
King without a crown..
crown him king we deed ..Indeed..
for our sufferings;
offering even his on life..
life less he now is but less life we even shall be should we not rise and speak.
If u speak change,
then u must bring change..
If u want change ..
then u must change..
Do not change yourself,
Be "Change" itself..
Rise up and speak..
Be the change u seek..
Still raging , still waging wars
"war of words"
I am still "Rage"..

COIN AND KOBO’S LAMENT.

Abandoned by my mother,
Rejected by my father,
Despised like and Osu,
All for an offence I have no clue
All for a crime I did not do.

Plucked-off the economic tree
Before the ripe time,
They won’t let me be,
They wont let me reach my prime,
They swear I wont another market day see;
So they sold me to the beggar that lingers by street corners and make chime.

My make of silver
They claim is my crime,
They’ll rather have paper
At least to give them ample looting time.

10 naira for mere pure water
Kulikuli
Is now five naira,
Used to be
Some tafawa balewa,
Mehn! I miss those days of 50k  peppery  tanfinri;
O! Life is not always grape, sometimes its lemon, other times its lime.

So I remain grounded
Like Nigerian Air,
But Dana’s ban has been lifted;
They can go on crashing dreams here and there
Eh! who said life was fair?
Now #5000 notes will soon be minted
I hope ‘Muri’, ‘Shandy ‘, and Awo’ can see the writing clear.

IN MY TRACKS (a Spoken Word Piece)

When I was a boy
I often looked up to mama
‘Tell me what I’d become when I grow up.’
But mama never understood my plight
She called me a lawyer or an engineer
At other times she called me a soldier
Maybe for background or the state of our nation
But really those didn’t satisfy the crave in my world

Yes I want to be great and live large-to touch more lives
Have all the money in the world or command them all
But they seem too small compared to my earthly dream

If you see mama please tell her my dream
I want to record something in the sand of time
Creating a record that no one has ever done
Even if my record was eventually beaten
Either by some nobles or some highly blessed
Maybe their work may not even be as good as mine
But at least I created the record first
They all followed in my tracks
Who could defend it? They all became my clone!

Do u remember the time??? (An Ode to Micheal Jackson)

Let me ask u,
Do u remember the time?
when the Liberian girl changed our world,
and we wanted to scream,
I love u, Liberian girl.
But just so u know, as per the Liberian girl,
well, the girl is mine.

Tonite,
I can see it in your eyes,
that u wanna be starting something,
so don't stop till u get enough.
U can act all dangerous,
or be a dirty Diana.
But before u start asking, who's bad?
well, u should know, I'm bad.
And I wanna rock with you,
cos u rocked my world and u know u did,
and everything I won, I give,
and it doesn’t really matter if u are black or white.

I want tonite to be a thriller…… a thriller night,
whether there is blood on the dance floor,
or blood on the knife,
it ain’t too much for me to jam,
and just beat it,
and shout,
billie jean is not my lover,
she is just a girl who claims I am the one,
but the kid is not my son,
after all, its human nature.

I wish I can tell u to hold my hand and we sing the earth song together,

I wish I could tell u, u are not alone, I am here with you,
but all I wanna say is that, they don't really care about us.
So I’m starting with the man in the mirror, I’m asking him to change his ways,
So we can heal the world,
and make it a better place,
for u and for me and the entire human race.
So tonight,
even if its just for tonight,
we are going Hollywood tonite.

Naija's Spoken Word Poet with the best punchlines and rhyme schemes....!!!

He is cool, calm and collected,
yet he flows and vibes with silent fury.
His words can via imagination give sight to the blind,
cos like a sword his words pierce through minds,
causing light to shine,
and you feel it fresh as you listen to it time after time.

His name is
Jeffery Jaiyeola Plumbline,
and he always has the tight and right punchlines.
